Introducing: nb. Magazine
nb. Magazine are proud to be the editorial partner of the Nota Bene Prize 2023.
With our name stemming from the common abbreviation of the Latin phrase, Nota Bene – meaning take note – nb.’s goal is to guide curious and engaged readers towards writing of note and to facilitate and encourage noteworthy conversation. As a team of trustworthy readers and industry professionals, we curate and celebrate new and notable books.
nb.’s quarterly magazine, which has had a rich history of sharing book recommendations, has developed over the years into a broader library of reviews, conversations, and opinion pieces written by readers, for readers. Our online platform shares the same qualities and values, offering readers a space to easily access and explore nb.’s writing and recommendations.
We work with a vast community of readers and authors to develop our rich and varied reviews, reading lists and conversations. The Nota Bene Prize’s integration of this community into the foundations of their prize feels intertwined with our own ethos; we trust that we will work hand-in-hand with the prize to celebrate and bolster this wonderful and unique community further.
As hosts of our own book group, where we select monthly and quarterly book group picks, cultivating a community and leading readers to discover outstanding contemporary fiction alongside us, we are thrilled to be returning to the plentiful year of fiction that was 2022. We discovered an abundance of illuminating reads, new voices and thought-provoking narratives that sparked important conversations amongst the reading community, and we can’t wait to see which novels make the longlist and shortlist respectively.
Nb. will be supporting the prize through our trademark interviews, reviews and more, ensuring we connect with the authors and fiction celebrated in the most authentic and in-depth way possible.
